Kerrang Tour 2010 – The Blackout
O2 Academy, Newcastle - Wednesday 3rd February 2010
Again I was hoping to get this blog up a day or two ago but I have just been super busy with other things that took priority. The Blackout were the 3rd band playing the Kerrang Tour this year. It was the first time I have ever seen these guys live and I was pretty impressed by them and their stage presence.
I had seen some amazing photographs of these guys live in the past and now having photographed them myself I know why! It was a shame I couldn't have shot them with flash as this would have gotten some epic shots. But the lighting for their set was pretty reasonable - the best of the 3 bands so far.
There was enough front of stage lighting to be able to shoot at a good 1/200's - 1/250's for most of there set with the ISO from around 1000-1600 for most of the set. With the odd shot being shot at 2000 ISO when lighting was really sparse.
Until sitting down to edit these images I really didn't think I had done that well - but when I got round to looking over them and editing them I was pretty surprised and super happy with my results.
This shot I have stuck at the top of this post is my favorite I think - though there are a few other I really like. Well have a browse through my pictures below and let me know what you think! I hope to get the All Time Low set from this show up at some point tomorrow.
I was shooting this show for Change The Record - Read the REVIEW of this show or see the FULL SET of images.
