Fightstar - Newcastle Students Union - Monday 26th October 2009

Four bands on the bill tonight, not really knowing what to expect from any of them I walked into the show with an open mind. Fist band who's name I have forgotten now featured Charlie Simpson's younger brother - they were tight as a band but really not my cup of tea. Next up was The young Guns, aband I had heard a lot of hype about but never actually listened to them in any format. The were full of energy and by far on of my favorite of the evening.

Next saw Saving Aimme take to the stage, a band I had seen/photographed once before and i had forgot how awful they are enough said already! Finally Fightstar took to the stage to a venue that was a lot more empty then I had imagined it would be. Ex Busted star Charlie Simpson giving lots of energy on stage made for an 'OK' set.

This was my first time shooting at Newcastle's Students union, was shooting alone for the first 3 bands then when Fightstar came on stage there were 3 other tog's appeared to shoot along side. Quite a low stage which is good for me as I'm a short ass but strange as you feel like you are standing at eye level between the band and crowd. All in all an average set of images, they do love there colored lights at this venue!
