Biffy Clyro
Biffy Clyro - O2 Academy, Newcastle - Wednesday 4th November 2009
Finally up to date with/on to of my blogging and gigs. Last night I was lucky enough to get a pass for Biffy Clyro at the Academy. A sold out show which I was really looking forward to. Arrived at venue and got in with no issues at all - before the show was only told I could shoot the band whos press I went though, but that was not the case which was class meaning I could shoot all the bands on the bill. The two support bands were 'Pulled Apart by Horses' and 'Manchester Orchestra' - I'm going to post up blogs for both these bands individually tomorrow.
I have to say the light show for the Biffy set was something special, making it pretty straight forward to shoot. Was able to bring the ISO down from 3200 to 1000-1250 at times. The light show got better and better throughout the show and was probably one of the best light set ups I have seen used in the Academy. Really gutted the didn't have there massive strip back lights on for any of the first 3 songs when I was photographing but either way I really enjoyed the show and I'm really happy with my photographs.
