Reel Big Fish

Reel Big Fish - O2 Academy, Newcastle - Sunday 24th January 2010

So I have finally gotten round to uploading this set of images. I am really happy with how the whole set came out. It was 2 years earlier when I last shot these guys but I like to think my knowledge and camera skills have come on slightly since then. This band have played more or less exactly the same set for the last 3 years that I have seen them so it was pretty predictable and I knew what I was going to be up with shooting before even starting.

The lighting was pretty impressive and rather straight forward to shoot in compared to what I am used to. This meant I was able to shoot between 500-1000 ISO with shutter speeds of 1/160 - 1/200. I got a great range of all band members pretty quickly and I was even able to pull out the 55-200mm telephoto lens for the final song of the 3 songs shooting allowance.  This meant I was able to get some real sharp and close up shots of  some of the bands members.

This was a great band to finish my first gig of the year on, a great start to the year and a great set of images. I am pleased
