My name is Daniel Hase, I’m a freelance music photographer based in Newcastle, UK.
I stumbled across live music photography 4 years ago when I combined my two main passions in life: Photography and Music. Since that day my infatuation has grown even stronger and my life now evolves around photography.
I was born and bread in King’s Lynn, Norfolk and moved up to Newcastle in 2005 to study at Norhtumbria University.
I spent my time at university shooting shows and building up my reputation in the Newcastle music scene. Three years on and I finished my degree in (BSC) Multimedia and Digital Entertainment. After graduating I realized that taking photographs was becoming more then just a hobby, it was a possible career option, which I am now pursuing.
As well as live music I cover all aspects of photography but this website is to mainly publicise my live music and band promotional work.
Over the years I have had my work published in various publications including, Time Out Beijing, The Metro, Chronicle, Big Cheese and NARC music magazine.
For the last 2 year I have also worked for ‘Push To Fire’ – a national music webzine. As well as this recently I have started shooting for a local webzine called Change The Record.
In this time I have had the opportunity to work with and shoot some of my favorite artists of all time including; Lily Allen, A Wilhelm Scream, Alkaline Trio, Big D & The Kids Table, Gallows and Jamie T.
Some other bands and artists I have had the pleasure of shooting include; Duffy, The Automatic, Reverend and the Makers, Dizzee Rascal, The View, Kate Nash, Franz Ferdinand, Biffy Clyro, The Wombats, The Maccabees, Glasvegas, Papa Roach, The Proclaimers, Alphabeat, Reel Big Fish and New Found Glory.
